Once you have backed up/copied the game you can then transfer it onto a local hard drive which can then be burnt onto a blank CD/DVD for further use thus protecting your games. You can find information about how to backup and copy games on places like blogs, forums and also gaming communities but if you absolutely trust what people are saying I wouldn't go near them because you can't believe what people are saying all the time.
